Antonio Moya Latorre

I am a musician and an architect from Valencia who became an urban planner. Before embarking on my doctoral adventure, I obtained my Master's in City Planning at MIT with a fellowship from La Caixa and worked at the MIT Community Innovators Lab (CoLab) and the Presencing Institute. My research explores how fairer cities are being built through arts-based radical planning processes taking place on the urban peripheries---what I call celebratory insurgency. As an action-researcher, I am committed to working with underserved communities in Latin American cities and building synergies between academic institutions in Latin America, Spain, and the United States.

I am currently a PhD candidate in City and Regional Planning at Cornell University.
